The SD (San Diego) Fish. With the evolution of this design and the many variations and attempts to modernize it over the years since its inception Ryan wanted to pay respect to the original shapers ,designers and surfers who first imagined it. Guys like Steve Lis and Skip Frye who proved the original design on a small stretch of the San Diego coastline. By making his version as close to the original his goal is to spread the original message of the design as best as he can. The SD Fish is a proven design in so many conditions. Thought of as a small wave board by so many but under the feet of a highly skilled surfer this board and its design has shined in some of the best waves in the world. . Its design features are very distinct. A wide more round nose with a straight and wide tail. The deep swallow tail is hard to miss and the wood keel fins are as beautiful as they are functional. The bottom is as distinct as every other part of the design as well. With a slight vee in the nose quickly transitioning to a deep single concave exiting through the fins. This design has been around for years and only keeps proving itself to be ahead of its time.
